Our Past
|
This section is dedicated to the dogs who have
made Dawnaquinn what we are today. Their achievements are many, and their
contribution to our current dogs and their respective gene pool has been
remarkable. Without them, there would not be a Dawnaquinn today.

After 30
years of breeding Dobermans, we have made a very hard decision - there will be
no future litters. Although our love affair with this wonderful breed will
continue, we will no longer be breeding. We plan to always have Dobermans in
our home and in our hearts, doing Agility, Flyball and occasionally
Conformation.

CH DAWNAQUINN INSIDER INFORMATION AgX,
NA, NAJ, NAC, NJC, TGN, FM, WAC, ROMC
"Monica" Jan/00 - Nov/05 (Died of
Cardiomyopathy)

Monica and I had the best times of our lives
doing Agility and Flyball. The titles behind her name say it all - AgX (CKC
Agility Excellent); NA (AKC Novice Agility); NAJ (AKC Novice Agility Jumpers)
N-T&G (NADAC Agility Novice Touch & Go); NJC (NADAC Agility Novice
Jumpers Certificate); FM (Flyball Master); WAC (Working Aptitude Certificat);
ROMC (Register Of Merit Canada).
Monica was very special for so many reasons and
although I will always regret my part in not doing the best I could to breed
healthier dogs, I will never regret having her if only for such a short time. I
take comfort in how much life we crammed into those five years and try not to
cry because it's over, but smile because it happened. |
CAN CH DAWNAQUINN'S KENDRA V SOQUEL
"Kenny" June 01 to Feb/06 (Died of
Cardiomyopathy)
A difficult loss to this dreaded disease. No Doberman was ever
more alive than our Kenny. Our most sincere condolences to Rick &
Jan Morris who gave Kendra such love and allowed her into their hearts and
lives. Special thanks to Roxanne Neufeld who invested countless hours
training Kendra for obedience and teaching her at least a hundred silly pet
tricks.

Congratulations to Mary White and Farah on their outstanding
accomplishment of receiving the 2001 Top Dog of the Year in Canada (All
Breeds). This was a record setting accomplishment - the first Doberman to ever
go Top Dog All Breeds. Farah's mother was bred by Dawnaquinn (a full sister to
Am.Can.Ch. Dawnaquinn Right On Roger) and lived to be over 12 years old.

BISS CAN AM CH DAWNAQUINN'S RIGHT ON
ROGER
"Roger" March/92 - November/98

Roger was a once in a lifetime dog. He died of
cancer (osteosarcoma) at 6 1/2 years of age; for us it was a devastating loss
of our very dear friend.
Many breeder judges appreciated Roger in the ring
- two Canadian National Specialty wins one under Fred Heal (at 2 1/2 years of
age) and one under George Rood (at 5 1/2 years). He won three Regional
Specialties one under under Edd Bivin at the very big Lower Mainland Dog
Fanciers weekend, one under Peggy Esposito and another under Bob Hastings (the
day before the National).
Roger finished easily in the U.S. winning many
group placements from the classes notably under Betty Moore and Pete
Emily.
He was a very smooth dog with an above average
front, very flat topline, sound coming and going with a long striding,
effortless side gait and a temperament that was always cooperative and willing
to give his all. |
