We try to provide all our dogs with an opportunity to excel in whatever area they show potential. For some, there is no limit (other than our time) to what they won’t do. We believe in titles at both ends of a dog’s name! Conformation - essential to ensure the focus on structure and beauty has not been ignored. At Dawnaquinn we feed a natural raw diet (Bones and Raw Food). We believe in a minimalist approach to vaccinations and any chemicals, opting for a holistic and more natural approach to raising dogs.
The Cavalier Philosophy
We believe it is not enough to say the right things, we must do the right things. To that end, we health test, breed our best bitches to the best dogs while focussing on whole colors and good temperament. Striving to educate the fancy that quality also comes in wholecolors, we are strong believers that the black/tan and rubies need more profile in the show ring. Judges need to see quality in order to believe that there is quality in ALL four colors. We want dogs that are not only beautiful but also athletic enough to be able to compete in whatever arena we put them in with a strong desire to please. Our Cavaliers live in our home, sleep in our bed, and are an integral part of our lives. We breed only after health clearances for hearts, hips and eyes have been met. When your beginning in dogs is a working breed, you are strongly grounded in the need for soundness – this has influenced us greatly in breeding Cavaliers – they are so much more than a pretty face!
The Doberman History and Philosophy
Although no longer breeding Dobermans, they will always be in our home and heart. Breeders of one of the most performance titled Dobermans in Canada as well as the dam of the only Doberman to go top dog all breeds. We have been devastated by the short lives of our wonderful dogs and hope those who carry on breeding are able to make great improvements in this area.
